Chris & Morgan | Cavalier Golf & Yacht Club Wedding VideographyVirginia Beach, Virginia

Chris and Morgan are such a fun pair, I can’t help but share their love story! They actually grew up in the same neighborhood all the way through childhood but never actually met!! In 2009, they both happen to be hanging out with the same group of friends at the beach. Morgan needed a ride home, and Chris was headed in the same direction. They blared music all the way home and their friendship started there. They played on the same soccer team in the summer in between college semesters, and eventually they started dating!

They share a birthday just 4 days apart, so Chris decided to make their birthday extra special and pop the question!! They went to his parents’ lake house with some of their closest friends and went out to watch the sunset on the boat. Chris offered to take a picture with her, but instead, he proposed right there! They popped champagne and celebrated with their friends. The rest of their family was waiting for them as a surprise to Morgan as they went back to the lake house. What a sweet story, I love it!!

The wedding day was incredible. First they got ready at their parents’ houses (such beautiful places!) and then headed over to Cavalier Golf and Yacht Club to get MARRIED! The ceremony setup was so beautiful, and the windiness of the day really added such a beautiful element visually. They have the two cutest golden retrievers, who walked down the aisle so gracefully!

The reception was probably one of the most fun celebrations I’ve ever been to! Not to mention their AMAZING first dance – definitely one of the best I have ever seen! They are such a fun couple, and all 300+ guests couldn’t have been happier celebrating the night away with them! We were incredibly honored to be a part of it all, and couldn’t be happier for Chris and Morgan as they start their lives together!

Congrats Chris and Morgan!

Great Marsh Estate Wedding VideographyBealeton, Virginia

Allison and Ryan are the perfect pair that balance each other so perfectly. But how did they meet, and how could they have been matched so perfectly together?! Well, Allison’s childhood best friend, Rachael, can be thanked for that one! It all happened one night as Rachael went to a bar – she met both HER future husband AND Allison’s all at once! She caught eyes for both guys (her husband, and Ryan for Allison of course) and set them up to meet. The rest was history 🙂

The wedding day was one of the most beautiful sights to see, I’m still swooning over it all! As I arrived, Allison was the most cheerful thing enjoying her family and friends’ company while they got ready. When Allison and Ryan saw each other for the first look, the joy was multiplied!! It was the sweetest thing. They are such a happy pair together!

The ceremony was held in back of the house with the beautiful backdrop of wide open land behind them. Great Marsh is like stepping into a European estate with it’s charm in every direction. The reception was absolutely stunning with greenery filling the stable. The Posey Detail did a phenomenal job lavishing the property with florals and greens left and right!

The Black Tie Band set the tone for the reception, and led some of the most exciting performances I’ve seen yet at a reception – what a fun party! There were guests inside and out, enjoying the beautiful day. Ryan told me later in the evening that when they were wedding planning, if he had to make one thing happen on the wedding day, he wanted to have an ice cream truck. And an ice cream truck they had! Westray’s Finest truck served the crowd the most delicious sorbet and ice cream all night long – such a tasty sweet treat on a warm August day.🙂

We were incredibly honored to capture this sweet day for Ryan and Allison, what a joy it was to be a part of it all!!!

I am SO excited to finally share Anu & David’s wedding film! There was so much anticipation leading up to Anu and David’s big day. For starters, they met all the way back in elementary school and started dating towards the end of high school, so a total of ELEVEN years together. That in itself leads to some major anticipation! But that’s not all that made me giddy in anticipation about their wedding day.

When I first spoke to Anu and David when they were booking us, they explained they were going to have two ceremonies, one Hindu and one Jewish, and they would have a Hindu celebration the day before. We created a custom package that consisted of coverage of the day prior, as well as a lengthier short film. I am so glad we were able to expand coverage to include so many more moments and events. Their wedding weekend EXCEEDED my greatest expectations…and here’s why!

First off, the wedding day took place at Tuckahoe Plantation, one of my all-time favorites for its history and beautiful gardens. The entire wedding was outdoors – the two ceremonies and the reception. No roof or tents, just beautiful summer foliage and bright, sunny skies. The Hindu ceremony started with the Baraat – the groom processional. David drove down the treelined driveway in an antique Rolls Royce, with dancers leading the group of family and friends. It was such a beautiful celebration that wowed the guests waiting at the ceremony site.

One of my favorite parts to the Hindu celebration were the outfits. The gorgeous bridesmaid dresses and Anu’s accessories were out of this world. They then had an outfit change after the Hindu ceremony to move into the Jewish ceremony, which was located in the crepe myrtle grove. They signed the Ketubah, shared about their story, and broke glass. It was such a joyous, beautiful ceremony!

I don’t think I had ever experienced a wedding that was so diverse. It was the most beautiful thing to see people come together and have such a happy, wonderful day together, even though they had never met. I think that in itself made for the most unique day we’ve ever had the chance to shoot, and I will never forget it! The entire celebration was such a unique expression of marriage, and it was truly a joy to put together the many pieces of their story into one film. I hope they forever can better remember the amazing day it was through their film!

We wish the best for the happy couple and can’t wait to see where the future brings them!

Veritas Vineyard & Winery Wedding VideographyCharlottesville, Virginia

When I think back to Stacia and Josh’s wedding day, the word that continues to repeat in my mind is “peace”. There was so much peace that day – the family, friends, the vendor team, and especially the couple themselves. The weather was beautiful, the light was stunning, and everyone was in the best spirits to celebrate this beautiful couple.Stacia and Josh first met when one of Josh’s teammates invited Stacia and one of her friends over for dinner. It was a casual, laid back dinner, but after that night, Josh knew there was something special in Stacia that he couldn’t resist to know more about. That same set of friends would hang out almost every night that summer, until finally Stacia and Josh started dating officially in the fall!

Josh surprised Stacia on Thanksgiving morning when she was on a run with Josh’s sister. They were running through a trail when Josh’s sister ran over to see Josh, and when Stacia came closer, she found Josh bent on one knee!! I loved how intimate and sweet their proposal story was. Perfectly fitting for them!

The wedding day took place at Veritas Vineyard & Winery, where you’ll find the most gorgeous sunsets and breathtaking mountain views! It was such a romantic backdrop for their ceremony. They wrote personal vows to each other, which were SO beautiful and genuine. Just watch the video and see!

The reception was full of excitement with a special performance by Stacia’s cousin, Stacia and her dad’s dance (epic!), a polish dance lesson that included the entire crowd, and loads of fun dancing the rest of the night – under the amazing disco ball at Veritas!! We especially loved the fun lighting DJ Wes provided – it really added great atmosphere for the party!

We are so grateful to have been a part of such an amazing celebration, and wish the best to the newlyweds Stacia and Josh!!!!

The Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards Videography

Amanda was a nurse, Adam was completing his fellowship to become a surgeon. They met eyes as he was walking down the hall, exchanged a few words and both knew there was something there. When we asked both of them on the wedding day (separately) to tell us their best memory of how they met, they both had such glow in their eyes remembering that moment. I love when that first encounter is something memorable, something that makes you light up when you think about it, no matter how mundane or silly it was. Amanda and Adam have such a spark together, which made this film so sweet to put together.

That’s how they met, but how Adam proposed is quite the story. He surprised her with a quick getaway to Paris, when she thought they were actually headed to Ohio! They went on a walk along the Seine River and he asked her to marry him in front of the Eiffel Tower!! It doesn’t get more romantic, my goodness.

Their wedding took place at Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards. They had taken a weekend wine tour trip when they were dating there, and fell in love with it. The big day was on January 19, and I was secretly hoping there would be snow on the ground….and there was! Snow had fallen that week, and it was a foggy, misty day — which I think totally added to the romance and feeling of their day so beautifully.

Cody from Amore Events did an amazing job planning, and I thought Blue Ridge Floral Design filled the Granary so beautifully with greenery. It was absolutely stunning inside. We will never forget Amanda and Adam’s first dance – one of our favorites to date! A must see performance, you would have thought they were professionals!

We were SO thankful to have worked with such an amazing couple to capture their sweet day. Enjoy the film and congrats to Amanda and Adam!

The Clifton Inn Wedding VideographyCharlottesville, Virginia

Stories like Allie and Matt’s are hard to beat. They first met in their 5th grade class together, and knew each other their entire child and adulthood! It wasn’t until their first year of college at UVA they started dating and became inseparable.

They dated a total of *10 YEARS*! After long distance dating across multiple states, Allie and Matt finally settled together in Charlottesville, VA, where Matt proposed! One of their first dates was at Barboursville Vineyard, so Matt planned to surprise Allie on a special date there! He had bought the ring months before, and was just waiting for the perfect time to pop the question. It was a gorgeous, romantic evening, one of the most exciting experiences they said they’ve shared together!

The wedding day was nothing short of amazing! With so many talented vendors and people there to make their day special, it really was one of a kind. Mallory Joyce planned the big day, and also was the floral designer! There were unique arrangements and surprises at the ceremony and reception, especially all of the greenery that filled the tent!

There wasn’t a detail overlooked for this beautiful day. With all of the charm already at the Clifton Inn (not to mention the tempting infinity pool!!), Allie and Matt’s style incorporating unique rustic & natural elements really brought their day to the next level. They chose the Clifton Inn not only because of it’s charm, but because it was one of the only Charlottesville venues that allows you to stay on the premise all night long while also renting out rooms for guests! They wanted to throw a huge celebration to have fun with all of their family and friends – what better place than the Clifton Inn!

A celebratory party it was! All of their friends and family danced the night away with Allie and Matt. We were thrilled to be a part of the celebration and create a film that they can relive all of those emotions over and over again. Congrats to the married couple!!!

In addition to the short film, be sure to watch the full documentary film below!

Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards Wedding VideographyCharlottesville, Virginia

When Susan first mentioned their big day being a “fusion” wedding– with a mix of Indian & Western traditional elements, I was so excited. The thought of bright colors with a mix of cultures AND taking place at the gorgeous Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards?! What a dream. I couldn’t wait for the actual wedding day all year long!

Let me first back up and tell you a little about Susan and Suraj. They met online through a dating app and hit it off on their very first date, which included a trip to a karaoke bar where Suraj showed off his amazing voice to Susan for the first time! By the end of the night, they both knew they had something special in each other.
**Fun fact — Little did Susan and Suraj know, but they actually lived right next to each other even before meeting — you can even see the other’s apartment from their window! How meant to be 🙂
Fast forward to the big proposal story — which is one of my all-time favorites! Suraj took Susan on a hike geo-caching in the mountains…What he did was hide the engagement ring in one of the hidden spots (which he had already scouted out beforehand)!! Susan finds the box and immediately drops it, and thinks its someone else’s engagement ring!! She looks around but sees no one except Suraj down on one knee 🙂

The day of their wedding was so special. Like their love story and proposal, there were so many surprises to make the day that much more special and unique. Everything from Suraj’s intricate shoes, the bridesmaid’s henna, and the Hindu decorative elements for the ceremony made everything so vibrant and exciting. One of my favorite parts of the day was the “Barat” which is the groom’s processional before the ceremony where all of his friends and family surround him by his car with exciting music and dancing. I’ll never forget the Bhangara dancers with the view of the mountains leading Suraj down to the ceremony site with Susan’s parents waiting at the bottom.

That wasn’t the last time the Bhangara dancers made their appearance. They performed again during the reception and blew all of the guests away! They were incredible! Not only did the dancers make a special performance, but Suraj got up to sing for Susan also in front of all the guests, which astounded me! He has incredible talent and it was so sweet seeing him sing for his new wife 🙂

We were so incredibly honored to capture such a memorable, bright day in Susan and Suraj’s life. We wish them all the best and can’t wait to see where life will take them!

Virginia House Elopement Wedding VideographyRichmond, Virginia

It’s not often that you get to shoot a wedding planner’s wedding, and when you do, it’s quite the dream! Kerri, from Blush Events, is a talented designer, planner, and one of the sweetest people in the world. If you are looking around for a planner, don’t hesitate to reach out to her! She does her job gracefully while also being down to earth. She was such a beautiful bride, and I could not have been happier for her and Randy.

They met for the first time on Kerri’s first day of high school — high school sweet hearts!! She was a freshmen, he was a sophomore. They dated off and on, and reconnected years after they graduated. They met up and fell in love all over again years later, but this time as adults!

When Randy knew it was time to make things official, he planned to take Kerri to a comedian’s show where they would get all dressed up. They first stopped at his mom’s house where they ate dinner, and had a glass of champagne…. But no ordinary glass of champagne! In the bottom of Kerri’s was the engagement ring!! They celebrated with the family and the rest was history!

On the day of their elopement, a forecast of potential thunderstorms turned into a beautiful mid 70’s bright sunny day! There was a breeze that I thought added a great feeling to their film. They had their ceremony at The Virginia House – which is one of the most enchanting, historical venues right outside the city! The architecture was actually transported from England to Richmond VA in 1925. It’s situated right along the James River, which made for shooting aerials quite the treat.

I was incredibly honored Kerri chose me to capture their intimate, sweet elopement & ceremony. I wish Kerri and Randy all the best as they begin their wedded lives together!

Inn At The Old Silk Mill Wedding VideographyFredericksburg, Virginia

If you’ve ever wondered if blind dates ever work out, Carissa and Trey are the perfect example of a sweet success story. They hit it off so well on their dinner date that they stayed at the restaurant for 3 hours just talking, and even went back out later that night to hang out! Carissa was supposed to be moving away to Charlotte, NC, but that didn’t stop them from developing a deeper relationship.

Eventually Trey moved to Charlotte to be near Carissa, and he proposed! But first Carissa was “faked out” twice by Trey – with the hopes of really surprising her when the real proposal came along. And was she surprised! He planned a proposal on a rooftop bar, and reserved the whole restaurant there so that they would be the only ones! Later after he proposed, all of their family and friends joined to celebrate with them!

Carissa and Trey had told me that their wedding day would be an emotional one, but I don’t think I truly understood that until I was there! They and their families were both spilling over in happiness and tears the entire day, it was the sweetest thing!! Many times there weren’t even words, just lots of tears! That’s when I knew this film would be a special one – one that they and their family would watch over and over again through the years with those same emotions!

The wedding took place at The Inn at The Old Silk Mill, which perfectly matched Trey and Carissa’s unique style and personality. There were so many parts to the day that were unique to them, including the pearl necklace she wore that was given by her aunts, grandmother and mother throughout the years. She is also a musician, and had many of her friends sing and play music for their ceremony. Trey’s uncle officiated their ceremony, and another family member recited a poem during their reception he wrote just for them! All of the personal details made for such a unique wedding day that truly embodied their friendship and relationship together.

We wish you all the best Trey and Carissa, congrats!!!!
